Michael Engelsgjerd, DVM

Dr. Michael Engelsgjerd grew up in Duluth, Minnesota and attended St. Olaf College, earning Bachelor’s degrees in both Biology and Studio Art. He subsequently graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003, where he also completed an orthopedic directed study. Over the last 23 years, Dr. E has accumulated skills through ongoing advanced surgical training and is passionate about performing orthopedic and complex soft tissue surgeries. He is excited to call Oakdale Veterinary Group home.

Dr. E lives with his wife and their three children, 2 dogs, and 2 cats. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, puzzling, traveling, learning Norwegian, hiking, as well as collecting and polishing rocks.
